I love making people think, look at things slightly differently, maybe even re-evaluate what they thought the concrete “truths” to be for real.
The article I wrote “the evil cousins of the kettlebell swing” was such an article because I wanted to expand people’s world not of just DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training, but fitness. The goal of these types of DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training articles is to show you how interrelated exercises can be if we think in a larger scheme than “just another exercise.”
The reality is that fitness is a big world if you want it to be. If you are satisfied to live in a closed off reality that’s up to you. However, I think fitness becomes really exciting if you see what is possible, why certain things work so well, and most importantly how you can become in control of your fitness.
Once you understand principles and concepts you can be just as powerful as the very best fitness professional without the hyped up gimmicky tools or the outrageously large gym. After all, the most important thing is how you choose to use your tools, your mind, your imagination, and piece the fitness puzzle together!
