Schwarzenegger Strength

Would Schwarzenegger Love

Ultimate Sandbag Training?

I love this picture of Schwarzenegger, what boy didn’t grow up in 80′s not feeling like he was some type of superhero. The opening of the movie “Commando” starts with Schwarzenegger walking through the country with a giant log on his shoulder that he cut down by himself, of course. I love this picture because I think it most accurately displays what we think of when we think of great strength. The more I think about it, I never grew up thinking of super strength of something we found just in the gym, but something we could see in every day life.

Maybe that is why so many people struggle to fully understand DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training until they actually use it! You see DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training isn’t a number, it isn’t a specific amount, it is almost a feeling. How do you describe DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training when it doesn’t necessarily conform the standard the rules of strength training, but instead re-writes many of them?

The Schwarzenegger picture above takes us back to one of the most powerful and amazing things of DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training, holding position. Understanding how in DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training, changing how we hold the Ultimate Sandbag changes the exercise is one of the most important concepts you could learn. Right  now I could quote research, but do I really have to? I think we would know this concept from just every day life.

When you think about trying to lift something heavy in every day life we try to hold it on ourbody the easiest means possible. We want to conserve our energy and to be honest, not beat up our bodies. Heck this past weekend I decided to take an Ultimate Sandbag from the conference center to my hotel room (good idea at the time). This was a pretty significant walk and at first the Ultimate Sandbag didn’t feel very heavy, but the longer I walked the more I found myself holding the Ultimate Sandbag all sorts of different ways in an effort to make it lighter. So, the idea of changing how we hold a weight isn’t really as strange as we would really like to believe.

After giving you my own example I bet you wonder why DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training is the only fitness program that focuses upon holding position when it is so fundamental? This is largely due to the fact that most strength training implements do not have the possibilities that DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training possesses. For example, we can hold the barbell four different ways, dumbbells have four positions as do kettlebells. With limited options, most people don’t give holding position much consideration.

Our DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training system actually has ELEVEN different options, that is a lot of choices. With so many different holding positions available we need to know why we use each one. In honor of the Schwarzenegger picture that began our discussion, I wanted to address the Shoulder Position.

Most people think DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training is just about randomly throwing the Ultimate Sandbag upon the body without much thought or consideration. The truth is that holding positions like Shouldering have a very deliberate purpose and can be a great progression or a terribly misused advanced drill.

While performing DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training exercises in the Shoulder position doesn’t sound all that of a big deal, the truth is it is one of the most challenging of all holding positions in strength training. Think about it, most fitness programs our body is evenly loaded like when we use a barbell, double dumbbells/kettlebells, etc. The Shoulder position introduces what we know as asymmetrical loading.

Basically our body has to work much harder to keep its posture when we are asymmetrically loaded and not only do we have to concern ourself in DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training with just lifting a weight, but maintaining balance and alignment in the Shoulder position. That means certain muscles are trying to lift and others are trying to stabilize. That leads to you not just having a strength or power exercise, but a stability and corrective one as well.

You can see how challenging DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training Shouldering really is by all the bad pictures on the internet of holding weights on their shoulders and leaning and contouring their posture. The Shoulder position is only helpful if you have the right intent! Think of the Shoulder position as the popular side plank exercise which is so important for back health and performance. You don’t want to see any leaning, whether it is forward, to the side or any compromise of your alignment.

I am not going to tell you this DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training series is easy, but if you use it correctly and use some of our cool variations you can build not just a body that can be strong in the gym, but outside of it as well. Follow today’s DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training lesson on the Shoulder position and see if you see fitness in a whole new light.
