Yesterday I shared with you some ways of starting our DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training program. It is SUPER important that you are willing to take small steps. Heck, I have known some pretty impressive coaches that couldn’t teach our Ultimate Sandbag exercises because they skipped SO many steps.

A small change can often result in a big difference in how a workout or exercise feels. That is why we look at the smallest changes we can make to result in a BIG change. Once we do so, we can end up doing some pretty amazing things in our DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workouts.

Real world strength is a combination of moving and lifting in all directions!

Like what? Just recently I was watching a video by legendary physical therapist Gary Gray. One of the first people to really discuss functional training, a big goal of Gary’s program was to get people to stop doing their core work on the ground.

Not just doing core exercises standing, but learning how to integrate the entire body into a movement. Oh and not just up and down, but in all different angles, the ways our bodies actually do move in sport and life.

While training like sledgehammers look cool and do this to some degree, the series of DVRT Ultimate Sandbag exercises shows you actually were movement and strength can go if you know why and how to get there.

The best part is that such training is fun! It builds our coordination, flexibility, and athleticism (yes, we all have some!) You will be surprised how quickly people can pick up on these drills if you teach them the foundations and slowly piece them together.

Today, I have two great DVRT Master Instructors showing how you actually can achieve this flows in a relatively short amount of time, if you follow a well thought out DVRT program.
