I wasn’t planning on writing this topic for our blog today. I had a whole different concept in mind, but then I got into a really interesting discussion with a colleague of mine that writes for a major fitness magazine. He told me how he was frustrated that they were handcuffing him from introducing some of the more modern training tools that he believes can offer tremendous results. It got me thinking, there are a lot of people that think what we are suggesting in a change in the fitness industry is not only weird, but expensive! So, I thought we would look critically at what DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs really cost compared to other pieces of equipment. We will take a look from the professional fitness setting to right at your home!
We can’t just have a discussion of DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs versus more traditional means without bringing up the topic of ROI or return on investment. I am going to try to break down what the ROI is of DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs from a host of different angles. It won’t be just if DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs are versatile, but are the more efficient, productive, space friendly, and easier on the wallet. These are just a few of the items we have to consider when we look at our ROI with all equipment we purchase and use.
Let’s begin by looking at the comparison by what most home and often time professional fitness programs are based upon, dumbbells. Let’s not even go a big name brand or anything fancy, I am going to use Wal-Mart prices as a relatively low cost option to the dumbbell. So you can see that I am not playing with numbers, I got my costs here: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cap-Barbell-Grey-Solid-Hex-Dumbbell/11925507
I am going to suggest a pair of 5’s, 10’s, and 20 pound dumbbells to match against our Power Ultimate Sandbag. The cost of the dumbbells is $110 compared to $99 for our Power Ultimate Sandbag package. Not a fair comparison though right? I mean you get six dumbbells and one Ultimate Sandbag package! I could talk about how the Ultimate Sandbag was designed to relatively easily change weight, but it will never be as fast as grabbing another pair of dumbbells. Well, Ultimate Sandbag workout programs really aren’t built upon changing weight set to set, but rather body/holding position. If we break down the following we will see how DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs have several edges…
|Implement||Ultimate Sandbag Workout||Dumbbell Workout|
|Price||$99 for up to 40 pounds of weight||$110 for up to 40 pounds of weight|
|Change Weight||Rather Easily||Very Easy|
|Number of Holding Positions||11||4|
|Number of Gripping Options||10||3|
|Works all Three Planes of Movement||Very Easily||Somewhat (dominance in sagittal and frontal plane, transverse somewhat awkward)|
When you break down DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs this way, you see the comparison isn’t even close. If we got into the number of exercises, I would guarantee you we could easily double the number of Ultimate Sandbag exercises to that of a pair of dumbbells.
NOTE: The price difference becomes more profound the nicer dumbbells you purchase.
Let’s take our DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout comparison to something else, how about a barbell? For the barbell we do have to make some considerations. If you are planning to perform cleans, snatches, and more challenging work, a cheap barbell is simply either going to fall apart or hurt your wrists, elbows, and/or shoulders in the long run.
Without getting into a ridiculous high end of barbells, let’s use our Burly Ultimate Sandbag compared to a very popular Olympic style barbell set. Since there are some that believe DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs can make you as strong as a barbell, let’s use the right weight challenge!
|Implement||Ultimate Sandbag Workout Burly (weight up to 150 pounds)||Olympic Barbell Set Pair of 10’s, 25’s, and 45’s 160 pounds of weight and 45 pound bar|
|Change Weight||Rather Easily||Rather Easily|
|Number of Holding Positions||11||5|
|Number of Gripping Options||10||2|
|Works all Three Planes of Movement||Very Easily||Difficult (largely sagittal plane with some effort a bit of frontal plane training)|
I know, you have 205 pounds for the barbell versus 150 for the Ultimate Sandbag workout. However, I would venture to say, that a 150 pound Ultimate Sandbag is pretty close to the feel of a 200 pound barbell. When you compare the above considerations though you will see the actual weight is only one option.
The point I want to demonstrate in these examples is that what we perceive to be expensive or cheap depends largely on how we choose to see these different tools and programs like the DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout. If you dig a little deeper like we did today you will see that Ultimate Sandbag workout programs offer some of the most cost effective workouts out there. The challenge is to see how we use and see these training tools. That is why with almost 500 FREE Youtube videos we are going to continue to show you how DVRT Ultimate Sandbag workout programs provide you more value and effectiveness than what most people see as the “standard” or “traditional” workout programs.
