Why Physical Therapists Love DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training

I feel very fortunate most of the time. The fact that so many great health and fitness professionals believe in what we are doing with DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training honestly gives me the motivation to keep pushing in an era where fitness has never been more diluted. Yesterday, I actually got to be interviewed for a podcast for Chiropractors and had the chance to discuss how DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training fits into a clinical setting.

Being married to a physical therapist not only spoils me in having amazing ideas that help evolved DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training, but also gives us insight into another side of health and fitness.

Being a #physicaltherapist you would think that these would be ideas I was all too familiar with but even I will admit how much #DVRT has changed not only how I looks at #strengthtraining but functional anatomy of the body. Especially when it comes to poorly understood areas like #core , lats, and #glutes . ———— 💪🏻 My view of what strength really is has changed over the years as my knowledge has grown of how the body really moves and functions. I no longer look at strength as the amount of weight one can simply lift … but more along the lines of can you move weight through multiple planes of motion while also moving your body through those planes at the same time being able to resist forces. That is what I tend to view as true #functionaltraining . This might not look like much, but when you break it down… Im moving in the transverse and sagittal planes while resisting the frontal plane… the Ultimate #Sandbag is actually moving through all planes. May look easy but it challenges the body more than you can imagine.. I was smoked 😜Not only tired but I trained these muscles as they were meant to perform in life!

Jessica shows how dynamic and smart DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training can be!

Physical Therapist, Dan Swinscoe, shows the thoughtfulness and concepts that make clinicians excited about what DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training can offer!

Why though? Why are clinicians so drawn to what we are doing? In speaking with so many, it is the idea that we are actually training the body as it is designed for movement. You see, physical therapists spend most of their time trying to help people restore their ability to perform every day actions without pain.

To me, that is one of the coolest and most important ways we can impact people’s lives. We tend to think that just exercising and doing “stuff” is enough for a society that doesn’t move very much. However, if we really want to make the changes that are at the heart of what we all want to offer, we have to be more mindful of how our bodies are designed to work. After all, as I often say, we can’t make something better we don’t understand.

That is why I had physical therapist, Scott Corso join us for an interview going over why having systems like DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training are important. What are the concepts and ideas that make what we do unique and so effective? Scott helps explain and what we should be considering in building better fitness programs, not just therapy.
