Unlocking The Coaches Toolbox: Evolving Performance & Functional Fitness Programming Live In Person Event

$149.00

We’re thrilled to offer our first live in person event of 2025 coming up soon! Unlocking The Coaches Toolbox: Evolving Performance & Functional Programming

Description:

Transform your training approach with this dynamic 8-hour seminar, where you’ll uncover the game-changing principles that set functional-based programs apart from traditional methodologies. Explore unique training variables and underutilized strategies for applying progressive overload, unlocking smarter, more effective exercise progressions.

Through hands-on learning, you’ll discover how to leverage tools and techniques that don’t just challenge the body but strategically guide it toward enhanced stability, strength, mobility, and power. Elevate your coaching skills, maximize client results, and redefine the way you design programs with insights you won’t find anywhere else!

Objectives:

-Attendees will learn the principles and organization of functional based programs to avoid common pitfalls of movement redundancy and balance of functional qualities such as stability, mobility, strength, and power.

-We will properly define how key concepts such as planes of motion, load position during the exercise, and body stance during the lift all should be used a progressive means of applying overload.

-Attendees will learn to identify how the biopsychosocial model impacts performance in movements and how we can reduce kinesiophobia and other factors that cause pain during movement through exposure techniques and mind-body exercises.

-Attendees will apply the concepts of the seminar in creating a training program that will address the warm-up, focused workout, and conditioning of a program.

-We will analyze programming from performance, post-rehabilitation, and general fitness case studies to see how we apply the principles to improve the overall effectiveness of the program.

Description

Itinerary For Seminar

8 am: Lecture on the definition of functional fitness and the key concepts that make functional training unique to other training methodologies.

9 am: Examination of case study programs from the world of performance, post-rehabilitation, and general fitness training to point out common faults in popular programming.

10 am: Considerations that are made to make the programs specific to the individual whether in a one on one or group based setting.

11 am: How the biopsychosocial model impacts the variables of our training program and how we should use the feedback of such screening to improve the focus of specific training techniques.

12 pm-1pm: Lunch

1pm: Coaching, cuing, and programming of mind-body exercises focusing upon myofascial stretching, breath work, and dynamic stability.

2pm: Discussion on the current literature around core training and a break out in how to coach, cue, and progress core training in more meaningful ways.

3pm: Understanding the lower body kinetic chain and how it impacts progressions, cuing, and programming of lower body based movements such as the squat, lunge, and hip hinge.

4pm: Break down of the upper body kinetic chain and how fascial lines change how we implement, prioritize, cue, and program pushing and pulling movements in our programs.

5pm: Attendees will break out to create and present programs based upon case studies provided.
