Why would you want to get better? I mean, does getting better at lifting in DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training just get you better at well, lifting USBs?
If that were true, I wouldn’t be so excited about what DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training could do for just about any fitness goal. Can it make you better in literally seconds though?
May sound like a huge hyped up claim, but as always, we want to prove it to you!
The reason we are so confident is that DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training drills aren’t just random, hard exercises. Instead, the progressions and exercises we teach in DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training each carry their very own specific purpose.
You may not always know what that is, but that is our job and what separates DVRT Ultimate Sandbag training from a “sandbag workout”. In order to illustrate our point we wanted to show how you can use DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training drills to INSTANTLY improve your performance in other exercises.
There may be no more classic exercise than a push-up. Yet, in DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training, you don’t see us using the USB to perform actual push-ups. Does that mean we don’t believe in them?
Absolutely! At DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training we love push-ups as a primary upper body exercise. The fact is that push-ups teach people so much about their strengths and weaknesses. The push-up, when done right, is a full body exercise, not just a chest drill.
What happens to most people is that they never understand how to really integrate their entire body into the push-up. When you leave a segment or group of muscles out of the equation, push-ups not only become much more difficult, but can be risky for areas of your body like the shoulders.
However, learning how to position, tense, and use your body in a functional manner can turn an outwardly simple drill, like a push-up, into an intense full body exercise. The question is still, how do you do so?
We have a lot of different DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Training drills to work different aspects of the push-up, but I asked an expert. DVRT Master Instructor, Dr. Jimmy Yuan, is not only great at fixing the body, but knows at how to get it performing at the highest level as well. Not only does he help professional athletes perform better, but he is great representation of his own work.
I knew Dr. Yuan had mastered one-arm, one-leg push-ups in an astounding short amount of time. I asked Dr. Yuan, “how can we teach others how to accomplish the same?”
Wouldn’t you know it, Dr. Yuan had just the answer! The key was to use an exercise that would teach all the principles of building upon a great push-up. What is that?
-Packing the shoulders
-Develop tension in the under arms
-Brace the trunk
-Have an active lower body
-Creating a “push-pull” effect
In Dr. Yuan asked me, “have you ever tried this?” He got down on the ground, got on top of an Ultimate Sandbag and didn’t move! Huh?!
